Context

Notes from a Fish is an absurdist space comedy about an aspiring novelist on the verge of a breakthrough. Before he has a chance to write his best seller, he loses his muse, a tropical fish, sending him and an unstable fisheries officer on bizarre misadventures to recover the fish rumoured to hold mysterious, almost magical powers.

The project was comissioned by the directors to create an original score to showcase the comedic elements of the film and emotional poigancy of the main characters journey. The outcome was 6 original tracks that draw on the films themes and the struggle to find ones creativity through inner turmoil.
